Argolis Web Design began when owner and developer Juan M. Tapia decided to combine two of his passions - music composition and video games - together. Initially, working as the music composer for a project between he and and his friends, this led Juan to an interest in developing his own games. Without any knowledge of coding and with much research, he found that games can be made in-browser using the core website building technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript and so sought to learn these resources while also developing music for the games.

Upon realizing that not only does this knowledge of said technologies contribute to game making, but also to designing and creating websites, Juan began looking for work in the industry. Landing a job for a reputable Santa Rosa based marketing company, Juan was able to learn how to interact with clients and bring to life their vision of functioning and lively websites. He also brings a background in IT troubleshooting from a large Santa Rosa based Internet Service Provider, which is definitely a boon in this industry.

As implied, videogames are a source of inspiration for Juan. The name Argolis Web Design was decided upon as it comes from Juan's favorite NES game, "The Battle of Olympus", which features an area of Greece - Argolis - as one of the stages in the game. Chosen because the name also lends itself perfectly to the slogan of the business:

"Our Goal Is Your Success!"
